2019 FRAME SWAP TO 2008

I HAVE RECENTLY COME INTO POSSESSION OF A 2019 SILVERADO 1500 EXTENDED CAB FRAME IN MINT CONDITION. I RECENTLY DISCOVERED MY FRAME ON MY 2008 1500 EXTENDED CAB IS STARTING TO ROT FROM THE INSIDE OUT. AT FIRST GLANCE, THE FRAME SEEMS AT THE VERY LEAST CLOSE TO THE SAME. HOW DIFFERENT ARE THE TWO? CAN I SIMPLY SWAP THE NEW ONE WITH THE OLD ONE?

Lots is different between the two. Big things are the body mounts, front differential locations, motor mounts and things like that.

 

Better off trying to sell that frame and buying the correct frame for your truck.

2019 old body "might" work?  Even then its a stretch but the 2014-2019 K2XX frame is 98% identical to the 2008-2013 frame.  

 

If its a 2019 NEW body, no chance at all it will work.
