Looks like I'm probably screwed/going with Ford (same thing? Lol) I am hearing rumblings that production likely will slow dramatically or cease in a week or 2 unless a tentative agreement is reached. Whatever units are in repair or shipping should get moved through.
moonlight39 Posted September 26, 2023 Posted September 26, 2023 I'm a girl so we're taken for stupid. My dealer told me he had allocation. My patience is running out. I don't think I'd still be at 1100 if he did. There are no constraints as far as I've been told. I'm not far from going with Ford. 1

Most dealers treat most customers like that, so I don't know that it's necessarily because you're a girl. That being said, I've personally witnessed that kind of treatment directed towards my wife. She went into a hardware store looking for a specific model chainsaw (she did the talking, I was just there with her) and the guy starts talking to me. My wife knows more than me about power tools and lawn equipment as much as I know more than her about firearms (a lot).

Like, no allocation, not picked up by GM, just sitting on the dealer's system twiddling its thumbs? No sir mine was 70-80 days from time of order to actually being produced. And then shipped out the next day. 1

Thrailkill Posted September 26, 2023 Posted September 26, 2023 Quick question for everyone.... How does this only have a twp star rating??? I mean what's shaking? This page has a lot of good info for what is under the title.

I must have just ordered from the wrong dealers(s) lol I ordered only about 6 weeks after you did too. , I am think that list is a little short, it was 6 weeks until production.

Rivard GMC Tampa FL (I live in SC) Look at their website, now all the 25/3500 are sold but they do honor the pricing you see... I was at 8% below MSRP. The dealer here in SC and NC are adding 7k with market adjustments and add-ons. So I saved a total 14/15k vs dealers local to me. Sammy is who you would want to deal with at rivard I can send you his number if you need it. Edited September 26, 2023 by Thrailkill 1

Mine has been going on for 2 months without even being officially accepted by GM. That's the message. "Your order has been submitted by your dealer but has not officially been accepted by GM at this time.". I spoke to my dealer today and he told me that there’s currently a strike going on at the west houses that manufacture cars. I don't know how true or myth it is, but that was the news I received here in Florida. 1

I had a really bad experience buying a vehicle out of state one time and have been wary of trying that again. That's also super far for me (I'm in central PA). My best offer came in around there (like $6k off). Couldn't get Ford as low but the equivalent Lariat build to my LTZ was a bit cheaper to begin with. I'm mostly satisfied with the offers, just not with the lack of clear/honest info, and with how long it's taking for anything at all to happen with any of my (GM) orders. And now the strike so… Edited September 26, 2023 by AngelPhoenix 1

There wasnt a strike 2 months ago and Flint has been producing over 300 units every shift X 3 shifts and overtime. So a little quick math would say conservatively 1000 per day (its actually around 1100+) x 5 days a week x 8 weeks. Thats 40,000 trucks since you tried to place your order (these are very conservative numbers) so look at that and tell us who you think is BSing you ? 1
