Is this an easy fix for a do it yourself mechanic?  Replaced many before...but my boss did new pads on his 2019 and it messed all up due to the sensors, he had to take it to the dealership, to have it computer re calibrated, and ended up having to replace calipers, roters, sensors and everything, cost him $3300!  This is on my brothers 2017 1500.

This should be a pretty simple job. You may have to remove the caliper in order to remove the line & install new one. I'm not sure what your boss did on the '19 to require that. Maybe some else will chime in here to verify

Sounds like he didn't know what he was doing to cost himself $3,300. You have to really ruin the calipers to cost that much to repair.

Installing a new brake hose is easy. Unbolt the line to the caliper and then use two wrenches to loosen the hose from the hardline by the frame. Connect the new hose in reverse order and bleed that line of air at the caliper with the bleeder screw. Shouldn't take more than 10-15min to be honest.

Newer vehicles can be a mystery even to do simple things. I had new tires put on the Odyssey. I spent 15 minutes trying to get the tire pressure light to calibrate. Frustrated I was just going to go to the dealer. Two minutes of driving the light went off on its own. My CRV and other vehicles you have to go through the menu and hit buttons. Several do it yourself jobs on vehicles I’ve done over the years the internet has saved me time and frustration. My experience with automobiles and equipment is vast. There’s not a thing I would do on a vehicle without checking the net first. Have you read the articles about farmers and John Deer tractors? Don’t assume anything is easy or straightforward.
