We've done it on several cars over the years, lasts about a year.  I just changed out the old for new and am good for 10 years again.

What works best on the relatively soft 'crystal' clear plastic headlight covers on the GMT-900s (2007-13 1500s)?  Our 09's have really gotten scratched up and yellowed suddenly (automatic car washes?) over the last 3 years or so.

Maverick, its not the car wash, its the UV rays from the sun that makes them look chalky and faded.  They're cheap plastic, not glass.  Read other replies on here how to fix it.  Its not hard to fix.  Some people used one product or another thats available.  See my photo of my GMC on this thread.  This is after I fixed the headlight lens.  I chose 3M Ultra Headlight Restoration kit.  It was about $15.  Just follow instructions and do nothing else other than that.  It'll look like you are really screwing up the lens but don't get scared.  Follow instructions right down the line.

I used the product from Sylvania.

Used it on my Bosses car and my truck.

I was impressed with the outcome, not much with the labor involved.
