I got another Software Update installation notification this morning. So I did it. I don't know what it actually good it did,  but now my tire pressures are showing low on all fours. I just checked them with a reliable pressure gauge. All tires reading 35psi. The My GMC app shows pressure @ 31psi on all four, and the DIC has no reading at all. I'll go out in a little while

and see if things straighten out.

Got 2 updates also this week. My tire pressure from Onstar was a bit odd. Said my tires were low and suggested I air them up to over 600psi each, lol. It corrected back to 40psi late in the day

To think as tech moves on, it can only get worse. Vehicles rely on tech to do anything and one simple thing can keep it from driving.

The guy I sold me 2002 Silverado to said he is going to sell it since he really doesn't use it.  Only put 7k miles on it since I sold it to him. He told me I could buy it back for what he paid me for it.  So tempting.

New owner here. Can we actually refuse to accept updates. If we do opt not to would we then face persistent nag screens "reminding us" to do so?

If you decline OTA updates, they will stop sending them and you will have to have them done at the dealer moving forward.  Mine has only done 2 updates since I bought it last year.  A third one was hung in a Paused state after it killed my battery.  Once I charged the battery, it seems to have been removed.  Others had the same issue with that update, so GM likely backed it out.

Thanks. I've check a couple of times since I bought the truck in August and there's been no update available. I don't mind getting updates, but I also don't like to be among the first given that software has a bad track record for being right the first time. And I don't want to be a beta tester for GM.

My last update added a ''red zone'' in the trailer view when the turn signal is on in the dash display with a trailer connected.

I have my trailer measurements added into the 3 trailer configurations in my truck.

My last update showed tire pressure low. Corrected as soon as I drove it. I also received 2 updates within a 3 day period.

The phone app will show update install history and a brief description of what it was for.
