Ted Stryker Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 One would think it would sound better than a one speaker radio under a pillow..... Garbage speakers for $68k truck.
diyer2 Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Same story, stereo parts supplied by cheapest bider.
reeseb Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 (edited) My 2021 Bose system is great. Are all your speakers working? Edited September 16, 2023 by reeseb

Cardsfan300 Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Same here, my 2021 trail boss bose system is great, but I have been seeing many people complain about the refreshed models and the bose.
repairman54 Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 It's not bad for a OEM system. Way better than the Revel system in my old '17 Continental. My '11 Tahoe Bose had the same door speakers as my '09 Malibu LS with a base radio. WTF, speaker change made a world of difference in it with just basic aftermarket coaxial speakers when one went dead.
mafd2 Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 My '22 refresh Bose sounded dull and muddy. Changed dash tweeters and rear door speakers. Set the bass and treble to max and mid all the way down. Major improvement and now sounds great.

diyer2 Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 If you want good sound you have to go aftermarket. My old truck I had $2500 in stereo equipment. Modest amount IMO.

diyer2 Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Best answer, because that's the way it is.
MrMagloo Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Did you not audition the audio system before buying the truck? I believe the competition might have better radios, I never compared them side by side, but it's hard to understand your gripe if this is such a high priority and you are complaining after the fact. The fact the the truck was $68K is irrelevant as that's in range for the going rate for all trucks in this class. The easy answer is, you should have done a better job shopping. Not being snarky, and I too have a wish list of things I wish were better, but for my needs, and what I wanted to spend, I think I got the best truck for my needs. If having a better radio was a higher priority, I probably would have gotten something else. Everyone on the planet knows Bose pretty much blows. They have been the premium vendor of choice for a few decades now - How did you possibly miss that? 1

MrMagloo Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Clearly you started this thread to highlight to the world that you foolishly made a $68K mistake, and it appears now you want to lash out and punish everyone for your stupidity. That's OK. Have fun. 2
