How can I change a bad tail light bulb on a 2019 new-style V8 crew cab? The reverse light seems an easy replacement but it looks like GM has me buying the whole housing. And now I'm reading you ought to replace BOTH at the same time. I'd go aftermarket but they are expensive. Are the stock tail/stop light bulbs LEDs? Should I check for a bad fuse somewhere? On the face of things it seems like it should be an easy fix.

CorManDallasTX can you find any videos that show how to replace the brake/running/blinker bulb(s)?

What exactly is wrong with your taillights? Do you have a reverse light out? Or are your turn signals not working? Do the taillights not illuminate when the headlights are on? We will need a better description of your problem to help you.

Do you have the bulb tail lights or the LED tail lights?  Photo below showing examples of each lit up.

Top one is the regular bulb lamp which has 2 brake/turn bulbs, a reverse bulb and I believe a lower marker bulb.  All 4 bulbs are replaceable.

If its the LED lamp, only the reverse bulb is replaceable.  Any other light out requires a new tail light assembly.

Also.  These new trucks are very sensitive to water intrusion via bad seals or broken lenses.  If you've got a hole in there or moisture, the harness is likely green and corroded inside the sockets and possibly down to the plug to the truck as well.
