Sunroof won't open properly

I have a 2015 Cadillac SRX with 131,000 on the odometer.  However, I just replaced the engine with a used engine with 60,000 miles.
Now the sunroof will not operate properly.  I hit the open button and it moves 1/4 inch at back of glass but would go no further, even 
with multiple presses of the button.  It took multiple hits of the button to close it.  My first thought was to replace the switch as 
I use the sunroof extensively.  After replacing the switch I can get it to open about 6 inches but goes no further.  I tried the reset
 I found online, hold the close button for 5 sec, then the open for 5 sec.  Made no difference.  I tested the power at the switch (blue wire)
 and it is getting power.  Looking for suggestions as to what I can try next.

possibly the sunroof motor? I do not think the engine replacement would have any closeness to the operation of the sunroof. I would try the sunroof motor
