2023 2500 with Duramax: does anybody have any proof or links that a bug deflector does not interrupt the airflow into the hood scoop?  Have owned dozens of trucks in small construction business and put 50K miles per year and always installed bug screen and bug/debris deflectors on all new trucks first thing.  Haven't bought a new truck since 2016 so this functional Duramax scoop is totally new to me.  Most of our driving (now retired) will be towing our 5er on long trips.

Thanks for any help.

I can't exactly answer your question other than to say I have one on mine and have not had any trouble with it at all, truth is I never considered the air flow to the hood scoop until now. Mine is the kind that mounts to the under side of the hood and has a high lip on it to deflect the air up, not the flush to the hood kind.

I found a pretty serious debate on a Duramax forum.  Both sides had good points and in the end; no firm answer- some do,  some don't.  I think I'll go with Weathertech high lip deflector.  Probably also put on their mudflaps.

Thanks for opinion.
