Question about interior control switch

Gents,

 

I have a control switch on the instrument panel just left of the steering wheel and I have no idea what it does. It's round and has a bunch of lights that encircle it across the top of it. What does this switch do?

Sounds like the lighting control knob. Should have the off symbol, Auto, and manual.

No, it's to the right of that. There are no words or lettering on it.

That’s a CURT Spectrum trailer brake controller. Whoever had your truck previously installed it.

That is a trailer brake controller switch to adjust the gain (braking force applied) for the trailer brakes.
