Just so everyone knows I got my truck running!!!! Thank you everyone who commented and helped me from a crank but no start!!! Now my truck shows over full on my tranny fluid which someone told me since I didn’t pre fill the Torque Converter that I would have to let it idle for awhile so the TQ could fill up. I have only put 5 of 11 quarts in. I also made sure the TQ was seated properly. Now it reads over full and not going into gear. I cannot believe one thing after another! So is it because I haven’t let it idle long enough to fill the TQ? Or dare I say could it be something else? Do I just let it idle longer? My truck has been sitting 6 months now I hope It’s an easy fix!!?!

The torque converter should fill almost instantly once the pump is running (aka the engine is running).

If the transmission was brand new with zero fluid in it, then it's going to need more than 5 quarts to make it want to move. I wouldn't really believe the transmission dipstick until I had added atleast 9-10 quarts if it was a fresh rebuild or new like that.

But as a side note, you should have atleast put some fluid in the torque converter to prevent premature wear on the initial start up.

Not trying to be a jerk or anything but you did bolt the converter to the flex plate didn’t you, don’t ask me how I know it won’t move without the flex plate bolts on.🤫

People put clutch disks in backwards, they re-use throw-out bearings, and pressure plates all the time. Forgetting to bolt the converter to the flex plate.... I bet that happens all the time too.
