Dad (96) is fond of saying, "The things that drove me to the doctor at 60 are now; Lets wait and see a few weeks. Most of it goes away. ".

Sometimes a malady you worry about in your middle years is more acceptable in your golden years.  I remember a specialist telling me I had considerable osteoarthritis in an area that was causing me discomfort.  I knew osteoarthritis is common and asked if what I was experiencing was normal for my age.  He grinned and said, "Maybe if you were in your seventies!" Lucky for me, I'm now normal!

Oh, and many of us in our thirties talking to our Doctor about hair loss...  If you have a full head of hair in your seventies, you're wearing a rug 🙂

The jaw issue is healing. It must have been a perfect storm with the peanut and pressure. I can handle the getting old thing, what choice is there? The jaw thing rattled me, it takes some doing. There was pain and a little swelling. Jeez really? I will proceed with caution in the future.

Good it's getting better.  I'd have a conversation with my dentist if this happened to me.  I currently have a dentist that examines and reports all things related to oral health.  For example, he recently told me I have a small mouth.  Others who know me have been known to report the opposite!

I did basically nothing to my teeth for 40 years but one being pulled. At 40 after my father had all his pulled and him saying take care of your teeth. I got all mine up to date. My dentist said that I had great teeth and should be ashamed of myself. It was a small fortune. He said see you in six months for cleaning. Yup, didn’t happen. 20 years later I got an abscess OUCH! I spent another small fortune. This time I go every six months like clockwork. I will see him next month and will mention it.

I have spent thousands of $ to keep my teeth. 4 month cleanings for years, bad genes for teeth.

I injured my left shoulder rotating tires, didn't feel it until later in the day. It wasn't pain immediately.

There’s so many places that do that for free around me I can’t remember when the last time I did that. Another thing that can really mess an old guy up. I don’t do my own oil changes but do all my other services standing up. I have an oil sucker. About 3 years ago at 67 I replaced a caliper on my Avalanche. Ain’t doing that no more. I do my own yard work. I’m the only one in my family that doesn’t have a yard guy. I’m the only one who retired early. I’m learning to be careful about what I take on. If I don’t enjoy it or it can cause pain I avoid it.

Friday I received a call from the hospital with a date in May for my pre-op appointment for my right knee replacement.  I haven't completed my physio yet for my left knee!  I guess there is some advantage in getting it all over with but this means I could potentially have gone through three total joint replacements in one year!  I'm turning into a resto mod!

I wish! I wonder what The Six Million Dollar Man would cost in today's dollars?

make sure the usb port for upgrading the software is on the inside of the knee, so less dirt gets into it.

You'd think with the cost of these new parts any updates would be wireless OTA.
