Below is what I have done with my Silverado and I now have a sound system I truly enjoy listening to and it sounds awesome.

2023 Silverado High Country

Bose factory system

Dash Speakers:

Pioneer TS-A709

Front Door Speakers:

JBL Club 64CSQ (Did not use tweeters)

Metra 82-3005 Speaker Mounting Brackets (free from Crutchfield)

Rear Door Speakers:

JBL Club 64SQ

Scosche SAGMHR-634 Speaker Mounting Brackets (free from Crutchfield)

Amplifier:

JBL DSP4086 (8-channel DSP configurable amplifier)

40 watts RMS x 8 at 4 ohms

60 watts RMS x 8 at 2 ohms

Sub-Woofer:

JBL BassPro Nano  (6" x 8" Powered Sub-woofer)

100 watts RMS

Harness (For tapping into Bose factory amplifier without cutting wires):

AIS - Audio Integration Solutions

([email protected])

Bose factory amplifier loads:

AudioControl AC-LGD 60

Power Harness:

Crutchfield CK8 (8-Ga power wiring kit with inline fusing)

I installed the JBL amplifier in the Middle compartment of the GM rear under seat storage (GM option that was on my Silverado)......I could not find a good spot on the back wall of the cab without requiring some sort of fabricated bracket and I was also concerned about the excessive heat back there. The rear seat -back has a ton of foam and will trap a lot of heat.

I installed the JBL Nano sub under the drivers seat......it does not fit all the way due to ductwork and seat harnesses, but it fits deep enough to not cause issues with passengers feet.

Fine tuning the JBL amp was cool and fun doing it through an application on a laptop.......I dialed it in to my taste and it sounds fantastic.

The JBL sub adds a great bass punch to the music......it won't rattle the rust off a vehicle but that's not what I was looking for........it's perfect amount of tight bass IMHO.

A remote bass adjustment lets you dial in the amount of bass boost.

The OEM sub was left attached and operational.......this was recommended by many (AIS also) to not cause issues with the Bose factory amplifier having issues if it's disconnected.

Super happy with the results......sounds sweet.

Pics below.....It starts out neat and by the timeI was done it's not as organized as I'd like, but it works well and is covered with the cargo cover, so it works for me.

OK so you left the factory amp and sub in place and added another amp and sub.... and powered all the speakers with the new amp, including the dash???

Thanks!

Yes, all except the new JBL powered sub......that is ran direct from the OEM amp sub output.

You need to leave the OEM amp in place......it's a digital signal to the this amp.

Very Nice! What kind of music are you throwing at it? Any chance you've figured out how to unlock the Stock HU to enable scrolling on an iPod or USB or even using Apple Play now. It is all locked down on my 23 High Country once you're moving. Sitting at a stop or in park, everything works great. There is a vendor working on unlocking the system, they say the big hurdle is the 360deg camera system...

Would you mind showing your speaker inputs and outputs?  I have the same harness and Amp that you do.  Can I see more images of your wiring?  Did you use the sub input wire on the harness?

I can understand doing this upgrade from the stock sound system. The stock one in the Elevation and other variants without bose are horrific. The bose ones I found to be really good compared to some other offerings out there. What made you upgrade? I thought about doing this in my Elevation in the past, and then when I bought the Denali went with the Bose option. To me it seems pretty good. I think the only thing I'd like to add if possible would be dynamat to the doors.

Glad to hear you like yours, KinkyDuramax.  I've had two with Bose systems at this point; a '20 Denali Ultimate and a '23 Denali Ultimate.  I loved the sound system in my '20.  By comparison, my '23 system was terrible.  After upgrading the speakers I am now doing a new 12 ch amp, DSP, and stealth box sub./amp.
