Silverado Power Assist Step Movement

I have a 2024 Silverado 1500 and the power assist steps seem to have a bit of play when extended out. They will move back and fourth when stepping on them. They are tight when they aren't extended out. Is this normal or is there a way to fix the movement. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

have you tried contacting your dealer about this? they might be able to take a look and tell you if it’s within normal limits or needs adjustment. Could save you some worrying!

I have the steps on my Sierra and they have the same play when extended. My dealer told me that this was normal.

Just talked to my dealer and they said it's normal to move like that if it has the button on the back of the board to extend the step back to the bed.
