Taking the truck in for the third time tomorrow.  Still vibrating.  Forced Balanced the tires twice and replaced one.

I rotated the tires last week, same vibration, I'm thinking at this point it has to be drivetrain related.

I have 2024 slt with 22" Carbon Flash Metallic wheels. I’m experiencing the same problem at 70-75mph  two visits to the dealership tires have been balanced and one tire replaced. I really hope there’s a recall asap. I want a smooth ride

Anyone have a fix for the vibration? I have same problem on 2024 Sierra Denali. 3 new tires, 3 road force balance. No improvement. Continue to document everything but dealer is running out of ideas.

FWIW, on a typical 1500 with the 10 speed trans the rear end gear ratio is 3.23:1. Meaning for 1 complete revolution of the wheel/tire the driveshaft spins 3.23 times. A driveshaft vibration will be at a higher frequency than a wheel/tire vibration.

Another possibility is driveline angle. The transmission output shaft angle needs to be roughly equal to, but opposite of the rear axle pinon angle.

If you can find a driveline specialist shop they'd be able to check both the DS for balance and the driveline angles.

Same thing happened to me with my 2018 Denali 6.2 liter 4x4. It would start vibrating at 62 mph. I had just purchased it with 58,000 miles on it. Since the salesman didn't have me drive it on the highway (to much construction going on), I ASSUMED it ran fine at higher speeds. Biggest mistake i ever made. My bad.

GM dealer said it was tranny. They flushed it with (supposedly) 20 quarts of Mobile 1 transmission fluid. That helped the vibration some, but I hate the way it shifts. Roughest shifting truck I ever owned. Though slight, It's just noticeable to me everytime I drive it. Mostly through the first 3 or 4 gears, then it smooths out.

Ask your dealer about a bulletin concerning your year and model, and if a transmission flush would help your vibration problem.

Good luck!

I replaced my factory driveshaft with a brand new oem one did not change anything, weights were on (not missing) and marked with marker on both. My truck has also been loaded (some squat) and completely unloaded going highway speeds and nothing changed either.

i installed rubbers in the leaf springs, checked hub runout, replaced rear rotors, disabled ARC and several other things to try to find this issue that dealer said "could not duplicate" and ended up trading in my 23 for a 24 that does the same exact thing.

2018 is a different body/frame style then the refresh later 19's and up. your 18 is not the 10 speed either.  The 8 speed trans had its issues, fluid update and convertors.

DFM disabler is now available and has it's own issues at slowing and coasting speeds but have been wondering if someone with the disabler can confirm they still have this vibration issue or not, i have yet to hear of someone trying this to eliminate, yeah L9 soposely deactivates DFM but besides seat of pants have not seen proof of this either and i don't want to drive 75 mph in L9

As I said earlier in this post, i'm pretty sure it has to do with the half shafts, at least in my truck.   How many of you that say you have this problem have 2wd trucks?

I've been fighting the same issue on my 2023 Sierra 1500 Ultimate w/ 6.2. I changed out the OEM 22's with a different set of OEM 22's and went with the slightly wider Michelins and am still have the issue. I have had the tires balanced by the tire dealer where I bough the new tires, the GM dealer 2 times and I paid for another place to balance them and still have a vibration at around 65/70 MPH. It seems there is something else going on somewhere.

Im having the same issues with my 2024 High country on 22". from 67 to 74 it vibrates, road force twice.

Wouldn't you feel it in the steering not the seat/armrest if it was front end halfshafts?

Any significant vibration is felt mostly through the seat and steeering wheel.   I don't know about you, but I sit in my seat with my hands on the wheel when operating my truck.  If there is a vibration that is presenting itself somehow that can't be felt through the wheel or the seat, it is probably not worth even mentioning.

that's the issue it is such a minor vibration but very annoying especially when traveling several hundred miles on a trip, since dealers can not duplicate but only owners/drivers feel.  I personally feel in the seat and armrest NOT the steering wheel this is the 23 and the 24 High country.

I have a 2023 sierra 1500 5.3. I noticed the vibration slightly with factory tires. I put on bfg ko3's load range E and the vibration is worst at highway speeds. It does it when maintaining speed, starting up a slight incline or anytime the drive train has a slight torque on it, goes away when floating or coasting. I have a dfm disabler and nothing changed. Going into a head wind it gets significantly worse.

Hey guys, what’s the chance it’s improperly balanced driveshafts, like a previous poster said. Maybe the driveshafts themselves are the problem, and OEM isn’t the right answer?

    • Thanks for response. Leak was right under drivers seat or thereabout.   Had checked by other mechanics and have read other information.   The solution can be a tad complicated and replacing multiple parts And with some.  The issue was still the same.   The brakes do work.   Just that the pedal is softer and goes further down.  But the brakes do work.
    • Breaking News!    I'm going to tell you that I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I told  you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm about to tell you on the other side of the break.  Then we're going to break. Then I'm not going to tell you what I told you I was going to tell you.  But I'll tell you something else that is Breaking News just coming to the desk that everyone reported on yesterday.  Then I'll tease a human interest telling I'll get to on the other side of a larger break. Then I'll tell you one item in 20 seconds and go back to an even longer break. Longest break of the night.  Then I'll tell you a fluff piece that takes 10 seconds and sign off into a three minute break while you wait for the next 30 minutes of rinse and repeat on the local news.    In al you'll get about 12 minutes of something, 5 minutes of which is worth hearing in a 30 minute show and 18 minutes of advertising at a sound level twice as loud as the news.    Of course you can switch to cable news and hear 12 different people tell the same four stories in much the same format as the Network News for 20 hours of which the majority will be advertising.  And four hours of late night Specials about things you wonder why you stayed up to listen to. Half of which will be repeats.....   OR you can go for a drive
    • Did you ever figure this out? My 2022 Trail Boss, and now my 2026 LT did this from time to time.  I believe it was more connected to Android Auto and my phone being the cause. Maybe try going for a drive, sans cell phone.... and see if it happens?
    • I have a 2026 Silverado LT, the non bose as well.  Upgrading the door speakers is pretty straightforward. You could honestly go to walmart, or Auto Zone/ O Reilly and get a set of 6x9s for the front, and 6.5s for the rear. You do also have to get some adapters for each, but they are like $10 a pair on Amazon. Then some plug and play harnesses that are about $10 a pair on Amazon as well.  And I would also suggest a 10 pack of the Amazon Basics sound deadening. Slap that all around the speakers and on the open metal of the inside of the door. And your golden.   I am currently doing this with my Silverado. Although I am having a bit of trouble because I am snooby I guess and bought some Alpine S2 S69c's which are 2 way components and I am having to wire from the door up to the dash....  Having never installed speakers before, its taking me just a bit to get everything correct. But if you dont buy expensive component speakers, and just some $40-$50 door speakers. You will DRASTICALLY improve the sound over these stock paper cone junk speakers. I thought my Silverado had an issue with the radio/ sound for a while.  Come to find out.  The stock speakers are just THAT SH*TTY   I cannot wait to have some decent sound in the truck   What did you end up doing?
    • Its all automatic based on yaw sensor data.  If enough incline is detected, it engages.   My recommendation though would be to disengage it before driving off and not let it auto disengage by touching the gas pedal.  The HD trucks use the same setup as prior years, the drum in hat park brake.  But now with an electric actuator.  If you drive off repeatedly over time, it can torque the park brake shoes and can also prematurely wear them out.           Electric console shift will set the park brake on flat ground too.  Pretty sure they've got it programmed to activate every time.
