this is strange. I haven’t ran into that. Have you tried unplugging it, resetting it and trying again? Mine has not given me any problems at all.

Contact Binzie. They are actually pretty helpful.

I’ve tried everything I could think of including wiping my phone and truck of all saved connections and starting from scratch but the same message popped up. I took your advice and sent them an email so I’ll update this when I hear back from them, with hopefully a resolution to my issue.

Mine worked for a little over a week. Yesterday it just crashed all of a sudden. All the lights were off on the box. Tried to unplug it and plug it back in. Tried to wait like 10 minutes. Didn’t work. Got back in my truck an hour later and it came on for like 5 minutes then crashed again. If I waited at least 30 minutes it will start up but wouldn’t stay on for more than around 5 minutes at a time. Today it won’t even get past the screen where it tells me to accept the terms for android auto. It turns off before I can even accept it. Luckily I got it from Amazon and they are already sending me another one. Hopefully I have better luck this time. I’m spoiled for the full screen CarPlay now. Definitely need that to work.

Hey everyone, I've been following this thread for a few weeks and ended up purchasing a TBox because of it and just wanted to give my feedback.

Pros:

  • Extremely easy to setup and configure
  • Full Screen Android Auto and Apple CarPlay work as expected (I wish GM would just update their SW to support this)
  • Volume buttons on steering wheel function
  • No loss in audio quality

Cons:

  • While on the phone, there is an echo
    • I can't hear it, but people on the other line report a 2 second delay/echo. I've contacted the company and they recommended changing the microphone gain settings. I tried all 5 different gains and none resolved them. They had no other recommendations.
  • Cannot accept or end phone calls via the steering wheel buttons. Can only accept/end calls via touchscreen
  • Siri is a bit delayed and distorted and makes it challenging to use while driving
  • Resolution/Aspect Ratio is a bit off. Don't get me wrong, it looks great, but it's not perfect

Overall, this is a great product if all you want to do is project Apple CarPlay fullscreen in your GM car. If you are often on the phone or use Siri while driving, this may not be the best option for you. I'm unfortunately planning to return mine unless I find a fix for the echo within the next few days.

Much easier way to do this. Instructions are below
How to Get Full-Screen Apple CarPlay in Your GMC Sierra (Should Work on All Models)

Purchase this device from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CX464S74...

Unpair your iPhone from the truck.

Plug the device into the center console USB-A port. It will connect through CarPlay using a wired connection and will initially display in half-screen mode.

Accept the generic agreements for CarPlay.

Connect to Wi-Fi (either your phone’s hotspot or another network).

Go to settings and update the device.

Once updated, connect your iPhone via Bluetooth.

Using the supplied SIM tool, press the button inside the hole on the front of the device (located between the two status lights). Hold and release after 2 seconds.

A pop-up will appear on the screen asking if you want to switch to Android Auto mode. Select “Yes.” The device will reboot.

You should now be in full-screen Android Auto mode. You can stop here if you prefer Android Auto, which is quite good as it supports video apps like Netflix and YouTube. You can set up your phone to automatically turn on the hotspot every time you connect to the device, ensuring seamless tethering when you get into the car. Continue for CarPlay setup.

Go into settings, click “Other,” then click “Boot Up App.” Set it to Autokit (wireless CarPlay).

Done! Now, when you get into the car, it will automatically start up Android Auto, followed by the wireless CarPlay app. This process takes about 7 seconds with no intervention from you. Performance is excellent even though it is wireless. Enjoy!

Binize Carplay Ai Box Android Auto Ai Box Wireless CarPlay Android Auto with Video APPS 4G+64GB,8Core, Android 13,Only Support Car with OEM Wired CarPlay/Android Auto Just in case the link stops. You need a AI Box that can output as Android Auto. That's it.

Todd, I was hoping you can help me. I see in your post that when you’re in android auto mode your Binize starts up to android auto mode automatically, and then obviously into CarPlay auto kit. I’ve literally been on the tech support with them for two weeks and I can’t get it to automatically start up.

Does yours automatically switch to android auto mode when you start your car so that it shows the T box on your screen without having to press any button buttons?

Mine used automatically start upwhen it was in CarPlay input  mode, it would just show up on the screen after about 20 seconds without any input.  But now since I switched it to the android auto mode to get full screen, I have to manually hit the android auto button on infotainment screen to get the T box to show up. It’s driving me crazy I have to keep manually doing that

Please any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes, mine launches full screen Android auto mode. I’d try following the steps again. Reset everything, start over and try again. I think I had to do it 2-3 times to get it to work, but it works flawlessly for me.

All valid points. I just turn my phone on speaker when someone calls. Not a big deal to me. The resolution/aspect on mine is perfect. It’s 1080p. Wish there was a way to cast Airplay or screen mirror phone. There may be, I just haven’t looked into it as I’m overall pleased with the product and performance.

Did you get this squared away? Mines been working for months, no issues.

Ok thanks. Will give it a shot. Thanks for all your help.

Granted, I am using the default android auto that is the main os for Binize, not autokit. Not sure if that makes any. Don’t think it should.  And secondly there’s several settings in the factory reset on infotainment. Do you recommend resetting them all?

I know that I’ve tried resetting the infotainment yesterday. Didn’t change any functionality.

I returned the first one and was sent another box. When I went to set the second box up I did something wrong and it kept giving me a message saying the time didn’t match between the box and my truck radio. I ended up returning that one too after trying to contact Binize, they replied with a generic message on hot to troubleshoot the box. I got fed up and returned it to amazon.

I decided to order the new Stream to Your Car box. I had the first version of that one and it worked well but it didn’t do the full screen, their latest version does full screen and works well. It’s more expensive than the Binize box though. I don’t even get the message to accept the Android terms anymore. I got it for the couple of times I used it and then it stopped asking. It was annoying because you can’t accept the terms while driving. So I had to wait until the screen prompted me to accept the terms before driving. The Binize box never stopped asking but I didn’t have it for long before it stopped working. I just plug it in now and it starts right up. Recently went on an 8 hour to and from road trip and it worked flawlessly the entire 16 hour drive. I’ve had the Stream to Your Car one since March 13th and it’s been good so far.
