The best I can think of is downloading and installing the latest Android version. If that doesn't work, I am sure the support team will give you some help.

 

And yes, that reverse.ini file has both Chinese and English text in it.

As many of you know, the refresh trucks have big screens for the infotainment system. For some reason, GM has not allowed Carplay to be fullscreen but Android Auto does have fullscreen. The way I got

I have the one that is (4+64G) model. I believe the difference between the difference between this one and the (8+128G) model is the latter has 8 gigs of RAM with 128 Gigs of storage compared to 4 gig

I have. Load it the first time through CarPlay, connect to WiFi. It will update the time and date. Now you can do as you please.

Here is a somewhat related question for anyone who can help:  Can I remove the ‘Trailering’ view from the right side of the screen?  I never use it.  Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you can't. Could be wrong though.

Not sure. Probably not. Try contacting autoplexion and asking if there is a way to change the projection mode from Carplay to Android Auto

Well after using it for awhile here are my observations.

 

There seems to be a lag and dropping volume issue when talking on the phone, a little annoying.

 

There also seems to be an issue when it's reading texts, it cuts off the first 1-2 seconds of the text.

 

The screen looks awesome, love the full screen look and everything seems to work great besides the phone and text issues. I'm going to give it some more time to see which ends up being more important to me.

I’m struggling, I cannot get this to work. Once I erase format to exfat and scheme to master boot record what is my next step? You say download that file but I don’t see a place to download.

All you have to do is click the file.

After using it for a while, I found this to be true unfortunately. So that’s one drawback about this method. Carlinkit occasionally has updates for the Tbox that fixes problems like these so hopefully they will have a fix in an update soon.

Hey, I bought the product and downloaded the file onto a SD card. It says copying and appears to take the SD card but it doesn’t switch over to Android auto. Any help is appreciated as I can’t get it to go full screen?

Ok, an update as to my feelings on this Mod,

             Screen looks awesome, I wish Car Play would be full screen!

             Everything works as it should

 

I didn't play with other options the module had but there are a ton of things to see it seems, not sure what they are though.

I've decided not to continue using it, why you ask.....

             It has a lag when reading texts in which I do a lot when driving, Speak to text has a lag as well

              Clarity when talking on the phone, it's not bad, but Apple Car Play is clearer in my opinion

              Doesn't automatically connect when you start the truck, you always have to hit the Android Icon on the screen.

 

  None of the things are real deal breakers and the maps and music screens look fantastic, it's just not for me I guess.

 

Just my .02

So I was gifted an Android Ai Box Ultra for Christmas and I cannot for the life of me get the full screen. Any help would be much appreciated. It’s an Android box that allows CarPlay and Android Auto, but I can’t get the Android Auto to work with my IPhone obviously, only the CarPlay.

I’ve contacted AuroraLink (the seller of your Android Ai box to find out any info on wether it is possible to change the projection method to use Android Auto instead of CarPlay (allows the use of full screen). They should get back to me in 48 hours, maybe a little more because of the holidays. When I find out more, I will let you know.

      You seem to be struggling with reading comprehension.   I HAVE SAID 3 TIMES THAT THE BOTTOM OF THE CROSSHATCH IS A QUART BELOW FULL.    I have also said that the manual will not call that "1 quart low" because it is not a quart below the acceptable range in answer to asilverblazer saying that he has never seen the bottom of the marking noted as "1 quart low" in a manual. The wording of the manual allowing for an acceptable range would indicate that .00001" above the add mark is ok. Also, because the manual allows a range, a quart below full and a quart below acceptable are two different volumes. Thus the manual will not use the phrasing "1 quart low"

      GDI Injector tips are in the combustion chamber and yes, they are subject to the same aromatic hydrocarbon based carbon build up the entire chamber is subjected to. Chevron Techron is a PEA based cleaner (polyether amine)  that is VERY effective if the dose is high enough.  Carbon the tips disrupts the spray pattern so keeping them clean is kind of a big deal. It will clean more than the injector tips. It will keep the inside of the injector tip clean as well. When they shut off they 'hot soak' building varnish internally behind the pintle. The tip, unlike most MFI systems have several orifices of very small diameter. They have to stay clean to work right. That spray pattern is supposed to spray into the cup in the piston, not all over the cylinder walls. Old guys will understand...    Top Tier Chevron has enough of the cleaner to be effective if used regularly. Other solutions could be Shell V Power Nitro + Premium and Exxon/Mobil Supreme Plus Premium ONLY use a different chemistry to the same effect with the added bonus of a friction/antiwear additive as well. Red Line SI-1 is PEA based as well with an upper cylinder lube. There's a white paper on their site for shock treatment of system left untreated for long periods. AMSOIL PI has a full system cleaner of yet another chemistry that will strip carbon out of the power cylinder pretty quick. Gumout Regane is also PEA based but at very low doses and those that are isopropanol based will not be effective. Alcohol content is way to low. Chevron Techron in any pump gas, Use by package instructions. 10 oz per 15 gallons every 3,000 miles. First use may require two treatments.    So, Techron, Red Line SI-1 and AMSOIL PI if batch treating and Shell, XOM Premium or any Chevron Fuel will not just keep it clean, but will clean it if dirty. No other fuel "I'm aware of will do that".    Flex Fuel motors. If you use at least 40% alcohol on a regular basis they won't carbon at all. PEA is not recommended for fuels over E-20     (www.carparts.com)

      It is always a good idea to exercise it at least every few months to make sure the actuators don’t get stuck. It is also a good idea to actually drive it for at least a few hundred feet when you do that so seals experience motion and oil movement.  Off pavement or snow/ice is best for this, but driving wet pavement in a straight line for a  short distance will work if you don’t have other options. I have  forgotten and gone as long as six months between exercising it on my 2021 and it has always shifted promptly.  I usually just use my straight 300 foot gravel driveway.
