Hey guys, I have a 2022 Silverado 1500 High Country and whenever I turn it on (not remote start), the Driver ventilated seat always turns on. It is a little annoying. Is there a setting to stop this from happening?

Try this to find the option, then turn it off:

If equipped and turned on, this feature will turn on the ventilated seats on your Silverado when using remote start on warm days. Press the Settings icon on the Home Page of the infotainment display. Press Vehicle to display a list of available options. Press Remote Lock, Unlock, and Start. Press Remote Start Auto Cool Seats.

It’s not when I remote start. It’s regular starting.

Still going to be in the settings. It is being controled by the auto part of the HVAC system, certain temp for heat, or cooled to make it work.

In order to find out things about the operation of your truck, why not check the "owners manual"..........................................what a concept!!🤔🙄

Wow. Don’t need your sas. It’s a forum. You’re supposed to discuss and ask questions. If you’re not gonna be helpful then why post at all.

Anyways, I didn’t find it…that’s why I’m here.

The only setting there was turn remote start auto ventilated/heated seats. I want that. I don’t want to auto start when I actually start the truck inside.

My 2019 was like this so I assume there’s a setting I can’t find or something.

I guess adjust your temp settings. Mine will come on if the system is calling for cooling just as the heated seats come on if the system calls for heating. If it's not all that warm out my ventilated seats shut off within a minute. I don't see a big deal here. I keep my auto temp at 74°.

My F150's and Rams with auto climate worked similarly.

Is the truck in your avatar the truck you have?

If so, its a High Country, sure, but its not a refresh 2022.  Its the 2022 "Limited", same truck as a 2021.  Unless that's an old truck.

Just trying to clarify that to help with any answers I can provide on your vented seats question.

Gotcha.

So.  You hop in the truck, turn it on (not remote starting) and the vented seats fire up.  What mode are you operating the climate controls in?  Are you in full auto and are just changing the temperature?  Where you live right now, what is the current temps?

Yes, they vented seats always turn on when regular starting. I always keep the climate controls on low. It’s rare that I change it manually. The outside temp was 51 this morning. I did the same thing in my 2019. Always on Low. Rarely change it.

The strangest thing happened today though. At lunch time, I saw the button was on low (1 light) instead of high (3 lights) and after I got off of work, it was on medium (2 lights). What a coincidence. We talking about this issue and it decides to act differently 😂.

Its almost like it’s on an auto function, but I didn’t see any auto button for the heated/ventilated seats.

I’m an idiot 🤦‍♂️. After I said “it’s almost like it’s on an auto function,” I had a realization. I went check the settings and found an option to turn off the ventilated/cooled seats. It never occurred to me that the answer was right there 😂. I just didn’t make the connection between auto cooled seats and them starting on startup.

I figured it out. I came to a realization earlier when I was responding to a post. There was a setting for auto ventilated/cooled seats. I turned it off. I didn’t make the connection till earlier. Of course the auto ventilated/cooled seats is gonna activate when you start the truck 🤦‍♂️
