2014 Silverado 1500 Fuel Tank Upgrade

I have a 2014 Silverado CCLB, the CCSB 2500 is the exact same body and therefore the same length. It also has a 36 gallon tank, so would it be possible to swap that into my truck? I understand the frames of the two trucks are different, so I’m not sure if it will work.

No.  The HD tank is WAY taller than the 1500 ones.  

 

If you can find a regular cab long box tank from a 2014-2018 1500, that "might" work?  Not sure though, you'd have to try one and see if it fit.  Those are 34 gallons.

I'd be pretty curious on that. If it clears the one of the cross members down there, you'd think it bolts right into place.
