K2500 Crew Cab

Can any help me? My buddy and I both own 2000 Chevy Crew Cabs and we are both having the same problem. When the truck sits out in the heat of the day the door locks will not operate. They just barely click but not with sufficient power to open of close the locks. It works just fine when the temps are cool. The second problem we are having is that our fuel gauges are not working. They just bounce around never showing the true amount in the tank. Thanks for any help with these problems.

Sorry, I can't help you. But my 1999 S-10 Blazer, the fuel gauge is doing the same thing. Doesn't show the correct amount. It bounces around spurratically (especially when first started). It has the digital readout on the overhead console with temp/compass, and it has a "fuel used" feature. That works fine so I don't know what to do. For now I just know that when the "fuel used" gets near 18, it's time to fill up. Not sure why that works.

Good luck.
