Technically not OEM, but identical design reproductions of the factory 22s. the wheels I wanted were only available OEM in chrome, and chrome is a no go!

So I guess the spec is these wheels are 9" wide, I'd really like to run a 305-45R22 tire on there, but when I shop for them seems the specs say the wheel size range is 9.5-11.5, just outside the spec. Anyone else running that size tire on the OEM size wheels? I have 285-45s right now, but they are fewer revs/km than oem, the 305-45 is nearly identical.

Guess I can reply myself 🙂 Saw plenty of posts online about people running the 305s on 9" wheels. also some about having to shop around for a tire place that will sell/install them. some refuse because even though it works fine, its technically outside the specs for the tires. I spoke to my local shop's tire expert, he says 305s on a 9" wheel is absolutely fine. so you might run into shops that won't want to accommodate you, at least one tire guru says its a perfectly suitable combination.

No issues whatsoever running 305/45/22 on a 9" wheel.  Go for it and never look back!

How close in diameter are these to the factory 22" tires in a denali?

Diameter is pretty close, its the width that might give you problems:

                                                       275/50-22               305/45-22                Difference

Diameter inches (mm) 32.83 (833.8) 32.81 (833.3) -0.02 (-0.5) -0.1%
Width inches (mm) 10.83 (275) 12.01 (305) 1.18 (30) 10.9%
Circum. inches (mm) 103.13 (2619.46) 103.07 (2617.89) -0.06 (-1.57) -0.1%
Sidewall Height inches (mm) 5.41 (137.5) 5.4 (137.25) -0.01 (-0.25) -0.2%
Revolutions per mile (km) 614.38 (381.76) 614.75 (381.99) 0.37 (0.23) 0.1%

I had 305/45/22 tires on my factory 22" rims that came on my 2025 GMC Sierra Ultimate before I changed them to OEM black rims.    Had no issues at all, no rubbing, ever.   Then switched quickly to the OE black rims,  same exact specs as the factory wheels.  Have had them on for almost a month now.   No issues at all.  Love them,  love the look and the ride is great.  Low noise too.

Nitto's are complete garbage. I got maybe 19k miles out of mine. They look great but in terms of a hybrid they wore down FAST like a M/T

I had Nitto's on my Jeep and experienced the same thing. Quiet but wore fast. I will look at Michelin Defenders in 305r45/22 when I dump my stockers.

Had the defenders on my past Silverado SS, really liked them. great tread life, quiet, good ride. very solid tire. for the Denali I wanted stick to a sport truck/sport SUV tire. I have Toyo Proxes ST3 on it now, I’ve had several sets of those between the Denali and a couple Jeep SRTs. Great tire but did seem to wear faster than I’d like. I’m going to try the Yokohama Parada Spec X this time around just to make sure I’m not missing out on something potentially better.
