Hey all, traded in my 18 Chevy 1500 ltz leather seats for a used 2024 gmc 2500hd doublecab sle this week.

Really miss the topper, power folding mirrors, and Seats are very firm, little hard for my liking.  Getting around 16 mpg highway at 73 mpr, city 12 mpg, with overall 300 miles at 13.8 mpg.

Love the truck, with updated dash, but  would like a softer seat that works with the winter heated seats, Any Ideas?

Later-

That's an amazing trade, to swap a pair of used leather seats for a whole, almost new truck.  Did you just have the seats lying around?

The seats on the 2020+ trucks are extremely firm. The OP is not alone in this regard. I do not know of any complete seat replacement for these trucks. The hard seats and leaking rear slider issues are probably the biggest complaints of these trucks since they debuted. Ride is great, power is great, great features.

Guess it is personal preference, but I've driven multiple 3+ hour trips with the 5th wheel this season so far and have felt no fatigue with the seats in my '24. I actually like them better than the seats in my '21 F350, which I felt were too soft.

What bothers me more is that the seat base seems to be shorter than on the F350.

Anyway, consider getting seat covers for them or swap out the cloth for Katskin leather.

GM seats during my time were wide and soft. I probably spent 100000 miles sitting on those. Seats across the board seemed to be firmer. I was annoyed at first but I seemed to be less fatigued after long trips. I’m sure some work goes into seat design for comfort. Especially it seems they’re all that way.

I don’t mind my stock seats but my wife uses one of those memory foam pads on hers.

if wanted a bit softer sit, I’d just use one of those memory foam pads

Yea, my wife too. I understand on hard surfaces. I don’t notice difference in the car. I say this though. Her leather seat in her Genesis still looks new 14 years in.
