I haven't even seen one in person sir. Sorry. I can say that a few places that supply their own filters will recommend the Endurance when they cannot, for whatever reason, supply one of their own. Seems like an endorsement of sorts. Grain of salt required perhaps.

Here's the business end of the ones Nick sent me.

The Fram Endurance filters at local Walmarts were all rusty inside.

Fram is bankrupt now retailers are unable to restock. And finding alternative suppliers.

FRAM Bankruptcy Status

Parent Company Filing

FRAM's parent company, First Brands Group, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on September 29, 2025. This filing was made to stabilize its business operations amid significant financial difficulties.

Impact on Operations

Despite the bankruptcy filing, the FRAM manufacturing facility in Greenville, Ohio, continues to operate. The plant, which produces FRAM oil filters, has not ceased production, and local officials have indicated that operations remain stable for the time being.

Financial Details

First Brands Group reported liabilities exceeding $10 billion against assets of $1 billion to $10 billion. The company has secured $1.1 billion in debtor-in-possession financing to support ongoing operations during the restructuring process.

Future Outlook

While the bankruptcy filing affects U.S. operations, First Brands' global operations are expected to continue without interruption. The company is currently exploring options to sell its business as part of its restructuring efforts.

Advance Auto seems to be dumping Fram but otherwise the brand seems to be carrying on business as usual.

First Brands did close down their brake parts division (Raybestos, Cardone) in the last week.

Story gets more and more interesting with all the fraud being alleged.
