2023 LTZ... I searched and couldn't find anything. If the rear window leak was fixed under warranty last year utilizing the TSB and documented, how long is the guarantee on warranty work? Of course I'm a few K out of the B to B. I do have the GMEPP Platinum.  A friend suggested that warranty work was guaranteed for 2 yrs. Any info would be appreciated. I am going to the dealer today after work but thought I'd ask here. And its ridiculous that they still cant stop the rear window from leaking. Thanks for any information.

Dealers typically warranty their work for 1 year labor.  That said, it was performed under your bumper to bumper so it would have been guaranteed under the remainder time of that.

The repair involves sealers so those wouldn't have a part warranty and would be a labor warranty issue.

So.  I'd say look at the exact date the repair was made and if it has been a year or less since that, perhaps the dealer may be willing to work something out?  Or, your other option would be to start a case with GM for repeat window leak after TSB repair and see if the dealer can get you some GM participation.  They won't cover it in full, but they'd maybe pay a portion of it.

I see what your saying about the sealer, but the TSB 24-NA-103 calls for Part # 11611049 Nut W/washer and seal. I'm going to go to the dealer first before contacting GM. Maybe they will stand behind their work. It has not been a year yet. Thanks for the response.

Those are just the one time use nuts that hold the spoiler and are required for the job.  The seam sealer and sealing the window is the actual repair.  Or, replacing the window if its cracked.

Hopefully the dealer will take care of you. I had the sealer tsb done on my 20 and the day I picked it up it leaked. I called and talked to the service advisor and he said the next step was replacing the window. It was replaced with an updated window by a glass company within 2 weeks.

No such luck. They told me is was fixed under the 3/36 and I'm at 39k so they won't fix what they were supposed to fix right the first time. Guess they don't stand behind the warranty work. Was less than a year ago. Was advised to call GM to see if they would open a case and fix it. Doubt they will. I'd hate to be the High country or Denali Ultimte guy with a leaky truck. Went thru this in 2019 when the new body style came out. Twice....It's unreal this is still happening to these high dollar trucks. Oh well. Been watching YouTube videos on self fix. Taking the rear headliner down makes me a little nervous but if I do at, atleast I'd seal everything up better than the last time the dealer did it. GM.... Fix your leaky trucks... 😃👍 @GMCustomerService

I would definitely challenge GM to make it right.  However, given this is a well known problem that doesn’t appear to be as easy of a fix as is performed by the dealer, I would look to do it myself if GM won’t help.

I’m sure you’ve read the DIY window repair thread.  If I get a leak, my plan is to get someone to do that work for me.  It’s pretty involved and something I wouldn’t be comfortable doing, but at some point, someone has to put down a water barrier and these steps seem to be some of the best, most well thought out available.
