2001 4.3 intake manifold gasket

I have a 2001 4.3 with an intake manifold gasket leaking (pouring) coolant from right front. Directly under the heater hose connector. Already checked and verified it is the gasket.

 

Was wondering if the intake manifold can be removed without removing the top half of the plenum?

charm.li (website) will have gm's procedure for replacing the gasket, that should tell you if the top needs to come off or not.
