Help with noise please

I hear a noise that sounds like it is coming from the front of my truck (99 silverado). I only hear it when accelerating and sometimes when I brake. I bought this truck used and the dealer did something to stop it and now it's back. I have only put about 3800 miles on this truck. I have "bounced" the front end and could not duplicate this noise, although one time I did hear a clunk from the right side. Any suggestions?

After work tonight I got a chance to try and track down this noise. When I shift from drive to reverse I hear this noise. It has been a long day and it was to late to look at the u-joints. It does seem that it is the driveline, although it seems it is coming from the front. The best I can describe the noise is that it sounds like a clicking noise when first accelerating.

If it's a clunk or a "honking squeak" as I described mine to my dealer, I'd consider doing a search here for driveline clunk. It was noise that was heard on acceleration and braking. Several solutions to the problem, plenty of reading on the topic for you.

Check the sway-bar links at the lower control arms, shock mounts...has it been aligned lately? They may have left something loose  I've also seen this happen w/loose or broken engine mounts...The engine would shift if 1 were bad or loose...has the truck had any body work done to it,check to see if body monts are tight....I know thats a lot 2 look for :D But noises r tough when you cant hear them from where I'm sittin  Try talkin to dealer you bought it from..tell them that the noise is back. .It's a long shot, but maybe they might take care of it as a good will thing
