Battery just goes dead about every

Battery just goes dead about every 2-3 months,put in a new battery it charges fine. I think something must stick on over night and draws the battery down,maybe a relay or something.

Has any one else had this problem???

I drive it every day,and go to bed at night and battery dead in the moring, this has happen 3 times in 6 months. Charge the battery truck fine for two months.

you may have a drain on the battery. Disconnect the neg. cable and run a test light in series between the termial and the battery. If it lights up when the doors are closed and key is off the there is a problem.

I read somewhere about a battery drain that related to the BCM(body control module)...If I can find it again I will post it

How about editing your signature ot at least telling us what model & year your truck is. Do you park it for 2-3 months? if so dont expect a battery to last more than 2-3 weeks between charging with security system on.

Our S10 Blazer had after-market alarm system and would drain

the Delco batteries about every 9-12 months. I removed the system

and no more problem.

You can do that or use a voltmeter....after you hook them up,you can start pulling fuses 1 at a time to see if the draw dissapears,that would help you narrow it down...just remember to pull the PCM fuse,the memory draws voltage that will also show as a draw,about 500mA or 1/2 amp
