Options for Winch

Curious if any of the forum members have installed a front winch on their rigs. I have 1500, ext cab, shortie box. I looked at Ramsey and also Warn. I would like the hidden version, but not avail for 2004. What other options exist?

Have you thought about installing a front receiver and getting a receiver mounted winch. That way you'll be able to pull out from front or rear.

I have a Milemarker hydraulic winch for mine. It is not permanently mounted to the front of the truck. I have a front receiver hitch on mine to mount the winch on. The only drawback to this is that I am limited only to a 9000 lb winch, but I can use it on the front or rear or on multiple vehicles.
