hi,

I've tired of gettin in the mud and gettin off the road a little sidways and only 2 tires spin maybe 3..i've been thinking about puting a locker in the front and a posi in the rear. Would that be a good idea on a 95 chevy? Would it cause any problems?

This wouldn't be successful. This could cause problems when trying to turn one direction or the other. I would definatly further investigate this before attempting to do so. Definatly be sure you understand exactly how each differential style works, but I've never heard of anyone mixing and matching diff. styles.

I'd just put in a pair of ARB air lockers and wire them to a pair of switches on the dash. Head off road and lock 'em all up for REAL four wheel drive. My friend's '01 had both and I've never seen him get it stuck. Even with the original POS Firestone Wilderness A/Ts

Locker in the front and posi in the rear is not a good idea. The difference between a locker and a posi (or limited slip) is the posi allows for some slippage, while the locker does not. I have driven with a locker up front (and out back) and they are NOT a joy on the street. The ARB is a good idea, but if you don't want to spend the coin, think about a posi in front and a locker out back. Also, you could put an Eaton E-locker in front and a locker out back. The E-locker is just like the ARB, but operates electronically instead of on compressed air. Definately consider an Eaton locker for the rear. That is what comes from the factory with the "G80" option code. Good Luck.
