Grease Zerk Fittings

I own a 2002 Chevy Silverado 2wd Extra Cab. I went to lube the front end based on the guide from this site and looked for the eleven (11) fittings. My front end is different and I could only find six (6).

My 2001 Tahoe 2wd had/has the eleven (11) zerk fittings.

Is this standard for a 2wd? Is my front end the standard front end for the Silverado?

if you've got 2wd I'd assume you've also got rack and pinion steering, not pitman arms. This will make it so you don't have as many zerks

I know that the 4WD trucks have 11 zerks and the 2WD have a lot less, although I am not sure of the exact number.

FYI - My 2wd 2000 (NBS) Yukon has 11 zerks.

Some are harder to find, but they're all there.

I've got an '03 2wd ext cab. Only 6 under there. Both upper and both lower control arms and left and right tie-rod ends. Don't forget the one on the driveshaft! (ok, that's 7)
