Avalanche

Just as a warning, please don't ever do what I'm about to describe.

 

A buddy of mine is having a hard time of choosing between and F-150 SuperCrew and a Avalanche.  So we decided that this evening after the lots closed we would go look at both pretty hard, just to get a comparison.  Looking at the Ford lot went just fine, but the GM lot didn't go so well.  The Avalanche we were looking at happened to have a rear door that was partially open.  It was still latched, but not fully closed either.  Being the nice guy that I am, I wanted to make sure everything was closed securely.  Well, as I pulled on the handle, it just so happened the door was unlocked!  I locked the door and shut it.  Well for some reason the alarm started to go off, :notice: and scared the crap out of me.  Think I have a wet spot on my pants now.  And the thing is, it didn't shut off after like 10 seconds, it just stayed on.  I thought for sure my buddy and me were going to get arrested for trying to steal an Avalanche.

 

So, whatever you do, do not try to be a nice guy and shut unclosed doors on an Avalanche.  Just stay the heck away from them.  LOL  Oh, and if I disappear for like a week or so, I'm probably in jail.....

I tell you what Jp, it flat scared the crap out of me.  The last thing I wanted to be looking at was the Avalanche anyways.  Now after this I'm never going to look at one again.  LOL

I hate car alarms, all they do is scare the piss out of me, but they don't deter theives at all.  Last week I was walking past some rich Chicago boy's BMW and it told me to step away from it.  I so badly wanted to kick in the door, but I figured that might not be such a good move on my part.

I always want to copy that great scene in "Fight Club", where they just casually walk down the street and smack car after car setting off alarms and deploying airbags!  

 

We're so good at tuning them out now, that they seem kinda worthless -

I think I know why I was so scared at the alarm going off.  You see, I think the Avalanche is so scary looking that when the alarm went off, I thought it was coming alive and was going to attack me.  lol  Either that or knowing I was going to have to come online and actually admit I had looked at one of those things....

i use my alarm for keyless entry. also scares the hell out of ppl trying to sneak into my truck at home. i may disconnect the speaker so it doesnt make noise anymore.. all i want is keyless entry... and the flashing lights, when its hooked up to my trailer is cool at night

u locked the doors kansas??  they were unlocked u shulda got a screw driver and popped the colomn and taken that sucker  home!!

Last night going by the chevy dealer i pulled in got out and told my gf i was trading my truck in for the white avalanche they had on the lot.  She looked at me and said "bye"

 

To futuristic for me i just wanted to get a reaction out of her.
