Anyone have a suggestion on how to remove brake dust from my rims? I've used almost everything that you can buy. Does someone have any suggestions or home remedies? (sp?)

For the outside (visible part) of the wheel I use a bug sponge and the same soapy water that I use to wash the rest of the truck. If you're talking about the backside of the rim (washing with the wheel off), I usually use a good aluminum wheel cleaner (Eagle one, Mother's), a fairly stiff scrub-brush, and some elbow grease. If it's really greasy (lube grease, brake fluid,), sometimes 409 will desolve the grime. Hope this helps. I usually only do the visible part of the wheel but every now-and-then I'll take the wheels off and scrub the backside. That's a crappy job, though.

I use Soft scrub and a wheel brush, if you have raised white letters the bleach really makes them  . I sometimes use the lemon scented kind so the wheels smell lemony fresh.

Pressure Washer, and or Simple Green!

Yup, a pressure washer. Actually, find a "touchless" car wash that advertises wheel blaster washers. We have a couple here in town and they really keep the wheels (also white tire lettering, if you have it) bright and clean.

$6.00 per wash and the truck looks new. Don't use the chamois type car pay washes. Too much junk can get caught in the chamois.
