I got my copy of chevy high performance magazine yesterday, flip it open and what do I see:  A red chevy silverado w/ a big cloud of smoke engulfing the back end.  They did a few page article about a new body style silverado, victory red, 1/2 ton, 5.3, reg cab/short bed, that was modified for racing.  I dont' recall all the specs, but it had 16x8 rims, 2" drop in the rear, Magnusom (sp) supercharger, K&N Filter, Dual Exhaust, new cam, headers, and a bunch more.  It's times for for the 1/4 mile were 12.9 to 13.1 in that range and ran at around 110.  Good article.   I would suggest you pick it at least for that article.  I'll scan some pics this weekend if I get a chance.

I'll try to get some more info on it (had the magazine yesterday, but traded it this morning for Four Wheeler) but if I recall the guy did most of the work himself and had a shop install the supercharger.  I'll scan the magazine tonight when I get home and get it up here by 5pm hopefully.  It's 3 or 4 pages long.  If you like classic camaro's and other old chevy's I'd highly recomend getting a subscription.  One month they did a feature on a ricer cavalier.  The next month issue there was so much negative feedback about it.  It was too funny.

sorry I didn't get these up yesterday, was having some connection problems.  I'll link the pics of off geocities since webphotos is moving too slowly.

alright, here they are, once again, I apolagize for the large size and crummy quality.  I didn't feel like scanning them so I just took pics w/ the digital camera.  I did my best to minimize the glare from the lights in my room.

 

I don't know why the geocities links aren't working, the pics are there, I uploaded them.  It's just trying to make things difficult.

 

If these don't work I give up
