When is it going to snow?

Hey Guys,

 

Ok, it is almost Christmas, and it still hasn't snowed yet.  I want to go out and play in the snow in the worst way.  You know, doing donuts, spinning the tires all over the place, going places where no car would dare to go.  All of the fun things.  Anybody out there good at predicting the weather for the East?  Are we supposed to have a mild or a bad winter.  I hope it's bad

I know....I'm waiting for snow myself.  I could not take it anymore....on my way home, I took the long route (dirt road) and drove into a few small mud holes off to the side.  Almost got her stuck   , but she finally came out.

I have been doing the same thing for about a week.  I has been raining steady for a while now, and there are lots of mud puddles.  I try to hit just about ever one   I need something to tide me over until it snows.

Just snowed in southern wisconsin this morning.  Not enough for any real accumulation, it's all melting as soon as it hits the ground.

Well I just woke up and we have about 1.5" of snow on the ground here in Northern Illinois.  Not that much, but at least we have snow!  It was 48 degrees up here yesterday so I was a little doubtful we'd get any before the new year.

In the corvette forum, it's the opposite. People start crying when the weather gets bad. Because they'll have to put their vettes in storage. The low clearance on the vettes makes it tough on the frame with all the salt on the road  driving with the top down aint too fun either  And don't even mention traction, a little less than perfect road condition and the torque breaks the wheels loose, very scary, especially on those old big blocks. It's nice owning a versatile vehicle like the burb for the first time

Look alive guys!! Big storm coming into the Pacific now should (if all the models are correct) head out into the Plains and Midwest Sunday into Monday, then head off for the Northeast by Christmas Day...IF all the dynamics can come together, looks like a white Christmas for a large part of the nation east of the Rockies. You want some snow?  We've had it on the ground since early October here in Anchorage and it's gonna be here until at least April.  Got another 7 inches since this picture was taken last week      I wanna move to Florida
