Overhead Console Removal

I had to have the wind deflector replaced on my sunroof, so the rivets that hold the wind deflector were drilled out and replaced. Seems like some remains of the old rivets have rolled into the over head console, they seem to be in where the button for the sunroof is. How do you remove the entire console or remove just the area containing the sunroof button?.....without breaking it.
