Chevrolet saves the day again.  :(   Got a call a little with ago from one of my friends/co-worker who was stuck.  Just got back from pulling his ford f-150 extended cab out from being stuck.  :)

I'm gonna have to get me some little ford and Dodge logos and stick them under my window, like fighter pilots do for "kills".  :D  :D

This has been around for a while someone on a site talked about it over a year ago.  When my reciever hitch is out it is replaced with a "Remove to tow Ford" sign!!! :(

Jim didnt i advise you on the "rfemove to tow ford" hitch plug?

did you get any pics this time tom :(

at least it was a ford :)

No, I didn't.  I thought about it, but it was around 9:00 PM and very dark where he was.  Judging from past experiences of taking pictures in similar lighting, they wouldn't have turned out very well at all.

Yeah, I've seen the receiver hitch cover too.  LOL the first time I saw that.  Told my dad about it (a Silverado owner), and it was a knee-slapper for him too.  Maybe I should get him one for Christmas!  (Dad, hope you're not reading this... :( )

Had to pull somebody home today, but it wasn't a Ford.  It was a buddies Camaro, it died on him at lunch time today.  We went back out and got it after the 5:00 traffic cleared down.  Still not fun to pull a car 7 miles through town with all the Christmas traffic, even on the back roads.  We simply doubled the 25ft tow strap under his car and hooked both ends of the strap in to the clevis on my bumper.  Just about the perfect setup for pulling a car or truck like this.  Then I can have a full 25ft for when unsticking somebody.

Not to mention it makes for a very quick hookup, and the strap is rated at 25000lbs, so it will take alot to break.
