Finally happened...

[02 Silverado Z71]

After going back and forth with my local GMC dealer for about 3 weeks, it has finally happened. I now own a 2004 GMC Sierra SLT extended cab 4x4 Z71!!

 

My trade:

2002 Chevrolet Silverado LS

4x4 Z71

Ext Cab

62,400 miles

 

New one:

04 GMC SLT

Every available option!! Heated leather, memory seats, 6-disc CD, XM radio, the list goes on and on. Black exterior, dark gray leather interior.

 

I know it's only a difference of 2 years in trucks, but the ride/appearance/fit and finish of the 04 is totally better than the 02. JMO.

 

Now for prices: I'll make it short and sweet.

 

I had $18,000 invested in my 02. Dealer invested $19,000 hard money into the 02. 04 listed at $37,000; I got it for $27,000

 

I only paid a difference of $8500

 

Only a FOOL would pass up this kind of deal!

You are correct about a "score"

 

I work at a used auto store. The owner of the store typically buys 400-500 vehicles per year, and he has had over 24 years of experience in the auto wholesaling industry.

I told him about the deal I did, and he just about fell over! Later in the day, he consulted with 6 of his new car stores that he buys vehicles from. All 6 said they NEVER WOULD HAVE CONSIDERED doing my deal! He is still extremely impressed with what I did.

 

Right time, right place.
