In fact, the front end might even be a bit lower due to the added weight of the diesel and Allison (if so equipped). I know I had to put a lot more turns on my torsion bar bolts to achieve the same level height that I did on my '02 with a 6.0L.

It may seem that it is but with the deisel as mentioned before is heavier than the gas, inturn the front end goes down the back end goes up. My brother just bought a deisel and they where setting side by side and in appeared that his was about 2 inch's high than my 02.

could they have the bars cranked up a bit from the factory to make them sit normal?

When I got my 2004 ext duramax the bump stops were aready sitting on the a-arm bumpstops ,appeared to be bottomed out already just sitting there. I cranked the t-bars 4 turns each now there about 1" off the bumpstops and truck looks some what level now and I think it rides better also.

Is it very hard to turn the t bars to raise the front end to level the truck? Also, can someone point me in the right direction to find the gross weight of an '02 ECSB K2500 Dmax? Thanks!

It's very simple to turn the torsion bars up. I've turned them with the front wheels on the ground, but putting a jack underneath and lifting them will definitely make the bolts turn easier.

 

I have an '03 ECSB and it weighs just under 7000lbs with a full tank, me and a fiberglass topper.

I have the Duramax combo in my 02 but it sits high, im assuming that the previous owner torqued the bars a good 3inches or so but it sits high with a set of 265's on them.
