In my entire life I've been Given 2 celebrity comparissons. ("You know, you really look like......"). I'm not sure whether to take pride or offense. :chill:

1.Had a Red Lobster waitress tell me I looked like Chris Elliott. (The guy in "there's something about mary" that had a funny skin condition, and also the lead guy in "Cabin Boy").

2. A bunch of us were watching Red Dragon on DVD (me, 2 Male Friends, & 1 Female Friend). One of the guys was looking at Edward Norton's picture on the front of the DVD Box and said "You know what, This guy looks alot like Jeremy!". And the Female friend said (In a pouty voice and a face of dissappointment, :smash: <- Kinda like that ) "But Edward Norton is extremely Hot.".

Should I feel :flag: or should I feel :thumbs::seeya: ?

I don't know...I get compared to Matthew Perry (in full "Chandler" mode) a LOT.

I never know how to take those comments, so I really can't help you. :(

It could be worse.... you could have been compared to Ben Stiller.

I would have said to her, "Yeah, well you're not exactly Carmen Electra, honey." :jester:

I would have too, but there's a couple problems with that.

1. She kinda is Carmen Electra. (Well, not really, but she is :jester::P (As in hot!)

2. I'm kinda sorta interested in her, don't wanna blow up any chance I may have in the future.

ya know, when I was a kid, everyone told me I'd grow out of the "I hate girls stage"......and you do........but now heading back...just the fact all the issues dating brings with it.

Lots of girls I've known have predicted this:

gimme some cars, I'll be fine.

well, I know ONE normal, girl, I've known her online (met at message board) for 4 years......I think I'm lucky tho, knowing ONE thats normal?(normal by guy standards)

that's okay general people tell me i look like steve-o.... i dunno if it's a compliment or if it's just a nice way of telling me i look like a jack@ss!

I think I have it figured out. (Key word: THINK)

I think it's all in the facial expressions when they're talking.

The waitress that told me I looked like Chris Elliott smiled and had a "happy" body language about her when she said it. I'm 95% sure she was complimenting me.

My Female friend is a huge Joke'ster, so 85% of the time you can't take her too seriously.

I thing is, I don't really like either one of the guys I got compared to. :(

Here is how it works when it comes to that business General.

Say it to her. You have absolutely nothing to lose. If she likes you, she'll laugh because you're giving her crap, and it's funny (if delivered correctly). It's a subversive way of letting her know that you like her, and that you are comfortable enough to pick at her.

Unless she has no sense of humor, in which case you didn't really want to be with her anyway. :chevy:

If she doesn't like you, you will know it immediately when she gets ticked and walks off.

Either way, you'll know where you stand. Not to mention, it will get you talking to her.

Thats normally how it works. A few months back I was watching a movie with the girl I was dating at the time. I don't recall what movie it was, but it had Ben Affleck in it. At some point I mentioned how much I disliked him, to which she replied that I looked quite a bit like him. That kind of irritated me because I don't want to be compared to him in any way, shape or form. LOL

As for the girl that you like, I highly suggest that you let her know you are interested before things get going down the "friends" path. Because once things head that way, it is unlikely you will get what you want. You will just spend a lot of time doing this.... :banghead: (along with a few other things I can't mention here....)

    • Thanks for response. Leak was right under drivers seat or thereabout.   Had checked by other mechanics and have read other information.   The solution can be a tad complicated and replacing multiple parts And with some.  The issue was still the same.   The brakes do work.   Just that the pedal is softer and goes further down.  But the brakes do work.
    • Breaking News!    I'm going to tell you that I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I told  you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm about to tell you on the other side of the break.  Then we're going to break. Then I'm not going to tell you what I told you I was going to tell you.  But I'll tell you something else that is Breaking News just coming to the desk that everyone reported on yesterday.  Then I'll tease a human interest telling I'll get to on the other side of a larger break. Then I'll tell you one item in 20 seconds and go back to an even longer break. Longest break of the night.  Then I'll tell you a fluff piece that takes 10 seconds and sign off into a three minute break while you wait for the next 30 minutes of rinse and repeat on the local news.    In al you'll get about 12 minutes of something, 5 minutes of which is worth hearing in a 30 minute show and 18 minutes of advertising at a sound level twice as loud as the news.    Of course you can switch to cable news and hear 12 different people tell the same four stories in much the same format as the Network News for 20 hours of which the majority will be advertising.  And four hours of late night Specials about things you wonder why you stayed up to listen to. Half of which will be repeats.....   OR you can go for a drive
    • Did you ever figure this out? My 2022 Trail Boss, and now my 2026 LT did this from time to time.  I believe it was more connected to Android Auto and my phone being the cause. Maybe try going for a drive, sans cell phone.... and see if it happens?
    • I have a 2026 Silverado LT, the non bose as well.  Upgrading the door speakers is pretty straightforward. You could honestly go to walmart, or Auto Zone/ O Reilly and get a set of 6x9s for the front, and 6.5s for the rear. You do also have to get some adapters for each, but they are like $10 a pair on Amazon. Then some plug and play harnesses that are about $10 a pair on Amazon as well.  And I would also suggest a 10 pack of the Amazon Basics sound deadening. Slap that all around the speakers and on the open metal of the inside of the door. And your golden.   I am currently doing this with my Silverado. Although I am having a bit of trouble because I am snooby I guess and bought some Alpine S2 S69c's which are 2 way components and I am having to wire from the door up to the dash....  Having never installed speakers before, its taking me just a bit to get everything correct. But if you dont buy expensive component speakers, and just some $40-$50 door speakers. You will DRASTICALLY improve the sound over these stock paper cone junk speakers. I thought my Silverado had an issue with the radio/ sound for a while.  Come to find out.  The stock speakers are just THAT SH*TTY   I cannot wait to have some decent sound in the truck   What did you end up doing?
    • Its all automatic based on yaw sensor data.  If enough incline is detected, it engages.   My recommendation though would be to disengage it before driving off and not let it auto disengage by touching the gas pedal.  The HD trucks use the same setup as prior years, the drum in hat park brake.  But now with an electric actuator.  If you drive off repeatedly over time, it can torque the park brake shoes and can also prematurely wear them out.           Electric console shift will set the park brake on flat ground too.  Pretty sure they've got it programmed to activate every time.
