I have a 04 HD and was wondering what kind of diffs do the front axles have in them. I am apost to have a eaton posi or locker in the rear thats what the sticker said. I would appreciate it if anybody could clarify this situation.

It's most likely an Eaton in the rear, you should have a G80 code on the glove box sticker.....I'm not sure about the front diff.

The front is GM Corp. 9.2in IFS.

1/2 tons aren't supposed to, but both my front tires spin/pull no matter what, with my Eaton I dig four holes in the dirt.

The 1/2 tons do not have a traction device for the front. It just alternates from side to side as traction is gained.

 

The 2500+ do not come with a traction device, however Selectable Lockers are available for it from Eaton, Tractech, ARB and I think Auburn.
