hours vs. milage

Just comparing milage to hours on your trucks. Let me know how many hours and milage you got. I thought this might be fun...sorry if it has been done before.

It had a lot of hours when I got it. Something like 200 hours with 1300 miles, since I drive alot, I brought the average speed up a good bit. lol

I won't lie here guys, I can't tell you how many hours my Tahoe has on it, but between letting it idle to warm it up, when I run into the fire station for a "quick stop", and when I am on scene, I am sure it is through the roof!

my truck is pre DIC so it can't tell time but I have 80,000 miles on her and she will 3 in Jan.

no DIC needed, with the truck off, just press and hold the trip odometer reset button and the hours will pop up!

hey ness5575, thanks for the tip I have 2302.8 hours and 81233 miles. I also found out it does not want to start when the temps is in the low 20's. Last night and tonight I had to keep trying to get it to turn over for a few minutes before the engine would start. going to rechack the antifreeze in the morning.

I guess that won't work with the barrel style tripometers.

I have 89,000 and way too many hours to even contemplate.

I wish I knew about this feature when I bought my used 99 silverado with 59000 on it, after finding this forum and checking the hours was in excess of 3000! The guy that owned it before me had a lawn service he used the truck for, so either he left it running while mowing or there is a way to disable odometer without being able to disconnect hour meter. Too late now.
