Suspension Lift options

I would like to get a suspension lift for my '02 Silv. 4x4 ext. cab. Are there lifts that are strictly bolt on and don't require modifications to the frame (cutting off existing differential mounts, etc.) Are most suspension lifts intended to never be taken off and go back to stock?

Thanks

I don't want a body lift, or to just twist the torsion bars. I'd prefer 2-4" inches of lift. I don't have a torch or a welder, so I prefer bolt on... I've been searching some websites, but most manufacturers don't provide that level of detail.

Superlift requires cutting the front diff. mount a friend of mine has a 01 z71 and thats what he had to do.... BUT another guy a know put a Skyjacker lift on his 02 z71 and it was bolt on and Skyjacker says you can go back stock. By the way... I just got a Skyjacker 6" for my truck for Christmas and the same goes for mine, all bolt-on :smash:

SuperLift does require cutting of the upper diff mount with their new F.I.T system, but they DO include a return to stock bracket. The SkyJacker 6" Lift for the NBS REQUIRES cutting on the steering centerlink link reducing strength near one of the arms (idler or pitman). I would rather lose the front diff than risk cracking the steering centerlink. However, the SkyJacker can EASILY return to stock. Besides Superlifts new F.I.T system w/bracket and SkyJacker 6" I don't think anyone includes the return to stock parts.

The skyjacker requires grinding the roundness off the centerlink where the pitman arm bolts through it. Shouldn't reduce strength terribly much. Takes off about 1/4 inch. I'd like to have that lift kit. Really nothing is available that doesn't require a little cutting. They all have you take off the rear bracket that holds the diff up because it's replaced with the new one on the drop subframe.

If you look most manufacturers have the install instructions on their websites.
