Belt Question

Dayco makes good belts. You should be able to find one cheaper. Ask the guy behind the parts counter if he can help you out a little on the price. It works most of the time if you've shopped there before and they recognize you.

 

I wouldn't put on a $9 belt unless I was trying to get the truck the last 10 miles to its final resting place at the junk yard. But then again, I've never had to take any of my Chevys to the junk yard. I did put a '64 Pontiac Catalina in a demo derby once, but I would've used good belts on it for that...

are top notch belts, they are the prime OEM manufactures.

 

There is a difference between the cheap import belts

 

rubber compounds for wear and temperature, kevlar cords reinforcement.

 

You get what you pay for in belts.
