ordering my lift this week. I don't want to get screwed around . I don't know this shop.

05 sierra 2500HD/ duramax/allison

Here's what I want, tell me whats right and wrong......

CST 9-11" with 37's I want the biggest tire to fit this lift without cranking.

Now what xtras will I be running into, this way I'll know if these guys are being fair.

shocks? springs? driveshafts? Kinda dumb with this your help would be great.

wil this be too hi for working out of? how hi will the tailgate be?

tailgate will be around a foot higher than it is now. you can sorta be the judge on that. would be exactly 9-11" higher like you say you want, but take into account how much higher the new tires will make it sit on top of the lift itself.

you'll get some good advice from these fellas I'm sure.

good luck with it all!

now another forum has suggested a 7-9" cognito or going with a CST 6-8 and minor trimming on the fiberglass bumper for 37's.

some input on this would be appreciated.

tell me if this is a deal.

We can't help you locate a shop in Michigan.

We can however tell you that to clear a 37" tire on a 2500HD you only

need around 7" of lift with some minor trimming of the front plastic

valance.

You are looking at around $2400.00 for a complete CST 6-8" kit with

Bilstein 5100 series shocks. Or $2700.00 for a complete CST 6-8" kit

with Fox 2.0 shocks.

Does this sound like a plan???? Will I run into extras???

What does the install cost 1000.00??? anyone?

On my last 03 HD I had the CST 6-8" lift with 37's. The shop had to trim the front bumper. I did not have to replace my driveshaft. I had after market torsion keys, 5" block in the rear, dual shocks in the front, singles in the rear.

If you go with the 9-11" kit you will have to replace the driveshaft in the front if you have a 4x4... the rear one they just shim it. I went with the Cognito 10-12" kit...See my signature.

See my pic of my truck, I am running 37's on 17's..I am going to go with I think either 38's on 18's or 38's on 20's or maybe even 40's. I still have about another 2 inches in the front to crank up.

On my current lift I spent about $900 for install....I guess it all depends on the amt of work getting done.

Oh yeah and you will also need new brake lines.
