? for anyone w/brushguards

Has anyone found a problem with changing headlight bulbs or any engine maintenance when they had brushguards?  Is a sectioned brushguard better than a one piece?  What brushguards do you recommend?  Should I look for particular features?

I've got a GoRhino Sumatra series 3000 (I believe is the number) and I've had for about 6 months.  I haven't noticed any problems while working on the truck, in fact it's more convenient, you can step on it to get closer to the engine, and when working underneath the truck it makes a great thing to grab on to to pull yourself up.  The one thing I did notice it made difficult was opening the hood, but, you just have to slip your hand underneath it so I wouldn't really say that it made it really difficult.  As for changing bulbs I haven't had to do that yet, but if I encountered a problem I could remove 6 bolts and pull the entire brush bar off.

I have a Manik one peice brushgaurd. I chose this particular brand because it fits tighter to the trucks front end so that it doesn't pertrude outward as much. Also, the one I have has the ability to remove the internal headlight gaurds (the smaller bars in the middle). They remove in one-peice and are held in by four allen head bolts. This allows you too change a bulb relatively easy. The Manik also has a winch mounting bracket available for a little more $$. I have 30k miles on mine with no problems or chipping.

I have the same guard that chevy4x4trucks has.

I really like it.  Shouldnt be hard at all changing bulbs cause when the hood is open you can get to them pretty easy.  Only thing i disagree on is opening the hood i dont find that hard at all.  One problem i had was the guard rubbing against my bug deflector.  Didnt catch it in time and it started to rust a bit on the guard (no biggie) i added a small piece of foam and problem solved.

Only pain is trying to clean the clean when ytou was it.  Thats kinda tough but you get used to it.

I have a Luverene because that's what the truck dealer carried, but I'd prefer a Ranchhand.  As stated earlier, popping the hood is tricky, but I don't have any bars covering the headlights, (it's their wraparound model) so I imagine replacing them wouldn't be too difficult. I'll include a link if you're interested -

I've got the same brand of brush gaurd as DigUout.  Only mine is an older model, so it isn't wrap around.  I wasn't really sure I wanted it on there when I bought the truck, but I wouldn't be without it now.

I don't have any bars covering the lights, so that wouldn't be a problem, nor is opening the hood.  If you are short like me, it is a great place to stand when working under the hood.

Thanks guys for your insight.  I want a guard that looks good and I can push other cars with (bubber bumpers).  (Incase they are too slow for me  )  But, really I hate it when cars get broke down in the middle of traffic and slow everyone (even a traffic hazard).  Also, there is a bit more protection in parking garages.  That concrete is a formidible opponent!  Did you guys get your guards at local shops or off the internet?  Is there that much more strength in the once piece guards than the 3-piece ones?
