Window regulator

Hey yall. Sorry I've been away for a while. Work has been keeping me busy since I started a little over a month ago. Anyway, to my point. Last weekend, I was putting my driver's side window (power) down. After I finished with the obscenities, I tried to roll it down. ( joke ) So, as it's going down, I hear this gravel/sand noise, and the window started to go back up. I was wondering if anyone else had had this problem, and what the culprit was. I don't want to order a new part and have it turn out to be something simple. I'm going to tear the door open this weekend, from the inside, and see if I can come across anything that looks awry. Plus, I don't want to drop $$$$$ at the dealership, since I know they'll try to F me out of more money, and I like to at least get a kiss when I get my lovin'. Thanks in advance, I'll keep y'all posted as to what I find in the door.
