Out of gas

So I've been planning on heading home from college this weekend to visit my girlfriend, so yesterday I thought I'd go buy gas before the prices went up again. No problem. Seems everyone else had the same idea. Today I've heard from several people that a lot of the stations around here flat ran out of gas. One of my friends went to two places over in Christiansburg and they didn't have any gas of any grade. Wondering if anyone else is having a similar experience. I feel weird, 'cuz I already told her I'm coming. Oh well.

Similar experiences elsewhere?

Not here, but the local news did mention 1 station rationing customers to 10 gallons each only at this point. We'll see how it all plays out.

I shoulda pumped last night, when I saw the price @ $2.77 and no lines.

This morning I got up to go pump and the price went up to $2.95 and I had to wait in line for the tanker to finish unloading so I could pump.

I just paid 3.49 a gallon. Be ready because from what my boss told me today, there is a good chance of a gasoline shortage. I filled up my gas cans tonight.

there's gas lines stat start on the curbs. That was yesterday. Today all the stations are out. I'm gona have to make a call a friend and see when he will be filling the tanks up at one of the stations. By the way there are around 13 stations within a 10 mile radius. Vidalia, La

I just paided 3.15 a gallon for plus at a gas station in PA.I`m going to break out the street bike soon it gets about 30 miles to a gallon(hayabusa)thats a hell of alot better then my Z71

We all agree the hurricane is a terrible catrastophe and nobody wants to pay out the butt for fuel, but this entire thread should be in the off topic/rant forum, otherwise the intent of this forum gets lost.

Yes, here in Auburn, AL we are about 11 hours from New Orleans or even less than that. We are running out of gas. Every single station. It's not good. My tahoe is full, but that mother f**ker get's terrible gas mileage so I am going to drive my fiance's BMW.
