Drive train vibration 97 Tahoe 2dr

97 2dr Tahoe 4wd with one piece drive shaft.

I have a drive train vibration from roughly 20-35mph that also causes a booming noise. I can feel it during light accel/decel/coast but less during heavy accel. It can also be felt while running with the wheels off the ground although much less.

I have new rear axles and wheel bearings. Pinion angle is about 1-2 degrees up from transfercase output angle. I replaced the u-joints but it did not affect the vibration. The pinion bearing feels tight but there is slight movement in the slip-yoke to transfer case output shaft.

Run-out of the drive shaft is less than 0.020" front/middle/rear with no visible damage and no signs of missing weights. I can also feel what appears to be the yoke binding on the output shaft as I come to a stop or take off from a stop.

Any input would be appreciated

Have not seen a slip yoke that sticks and causes the stop clunk to cause a vibration. The speed you're getting the vibration definitely sounds like driveline.

How are you measuring driveline angles? Eyeball or with a driveline inclinometer? The latter is the only way to know for sure. The front and rear working angles should be within a 1/2 degree of each other. Neither should be more than 4 degrees nor should they be 0 degrees.
