The new look of 2003

The Silverado is OK I ain't bowled over by it but it's cool in red.The Sierra looks the same except for a tough looking crossbar grille.As far as the interior how much better can it get?  I'd buy one if my trade-in wasn't the joke of the day.I like my 99 and i'm sticking with it.Maybe in 3 years or so.

I think it is fugly   .  If I am ever in the market to get one, I think I will have to figure out how to retro-fit a front clip from a 99-02 on it.  Either that or defect to GMC...I think the new Sierra looks good.  I love my 2000 Z71 but it is about time to trade up with my 97.  Looks like when I get ready I will end up going used and get an 02 in about a year or so.  Too bad...I really wanted a brand spanking new one that only I had driven   .

I love it, the new front doesn't look half bad, but the part I like is the interior, looks really nice.  I'd drop my truck in a heart beat for a new one if I had some money.  But, I don't ???

Well, at first I didn't like it at all.  It's been what 2 days since we saw it and I'm already starting to get used to it.  I think I like the interior enhancements more than I do the exterior but like I said I'll get used to it.

I dont like it.  Lights dont match the truck.

 

Steering wheel is um no words to describe it, radio is very different not bad.  Center console is to deep dont think id like that.  HVAC controls gotta see em closer up.  Doors looked like they stayed the same.

 

All i have to say is i hope i am wrong but i think gm is gonna take a hit (sell less) with these new trucks.  I hope i am wrong but i hope i am right and they will do another redesign and go back to the "CLASSIC" style.

I was disappointed to read that the HD's will no longer have a different look than their light duty brothers. I think it is a mistake to do away with that. :idontgetit:

I like the new look.  Get someone to lend me the money and I'll get one.  I do think that the HD's should still retain their muscular look/stance though, it is a mistake to make them look like there LD counterparts, look at the new HD Dodge, that thing is enormous, you can tell it from the LD also.

I don't mind the changes.  I have a slight preference to the GMC, some may find that wierd as I own an Avalanche.  I am not sure what prompted Chev to go back to a Headlight over Signal light config., but it lowers the power bar and I like the other way better.  The interior changes are nice, wouldn't make me rush out to upgrade, but would be nice.

 

The GMC has definately taken some styling cues from the Terradyne and related stuff, and other than looking a bit 'saggy', I like it.  

 

I hope that they do differentiate the HD's from the LD's with something hoodwise, however I am not the biggest fan of the current 'power bulge', so a change of style wouldn't hurt my feelings.

 

Change always takes a bit to get used to, and even longer when you just change a clip on something that you are otherwise used to looking at.

A few of you mentioned that the HD's and LD's are going to look the same.  Where did you guys read that?  I'm probably one of the few people that is in favor of them looking the same - I want four full sized doors and the looks of the LD's.

i'll have to get used to the front body. i think its ugly. i fell in love with the interior though. overall, i still have mixed feelings i guess. i think for a real opinion, i may have to see one in person.

I like the new redisign. The headlights are on top like they should be. That is one of my beefs with the Avalanche, headlights under the turn signals. Go figure.

 

Also it is about time the radio controls are on the steering wheel. Good job GM.

Looks to me like like they were modeled after the Trailblazer and Envoy. I perfer the look of the Seirra and Envoy over the Chevys.

The Chevy is freakin ugly, GMC ain't bad!!  Both are ugly with 4 wheel steering.  I just love those rear fenders  :sarcasm:
