Getting tired?

Tell me what you guys think... I think the old girl is starting to get a little tired...

Ever since I have moved out here to Tallahassee I have been back and forth to Jacksonville a few times. That trip is 180 miles for me with about 160 of which is on I-10. On I-10 in the Florida panhandle there are quite a few hills, they used to never be a problem. The last few times I have made the trip it has been a bit different. I usually set the cruise at about 75, this normally was not a problem. The past few times on the hills it has been hunting down to 3rd gear (that means about 4000rpm  ) This is with no load other than myself. Also, it is doing the same thing on a bridge in Jacksonville that it never used to do it on.

94 C1500 5.0L 201,250 miles.

Getting Tired... Naw... It's just about broken in. The good news that by now it's just going to keep running because thats all it knows how to do.

I agree, how is the tune? How is the cat? Make sure it can breath well and fresh fluid change all around and then see how it goes.

Cap, rotor, wires, plugs, O2 sensor were done in June along with a new radiator and coolant flush. Ignition control module was replaced last March. EGR valve was done about a year and a half ago. Cat was replaced along with everything from the exhaust manifolds back at 160k.

Im gonna do a leak down test on it over thanksgiving.

Yea man my 94' does the same thing. I've gotta 4.3L with 192k and it goes down into 3rd for hills too. I think the motors defniatly aren't worn out, but I also don't think its anything out of the ordinary.'

I do need to change my EGR though..where is that guy?
